Millions of vehicle recalls are issued each year by automakers and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. These recalls occur when a vehicle fails to meet certain federal motor vehicle safety requirements, or there is a manufacturing deficiency that does not pose a safety risk.

Vehicle recalls are serious, even if the recall only involves a defect in the floor mats. When you receive a recall letter, the letter will inform you of several things you should know. The letter will identify the defect, list the safety hazards the defect can present, how the manufacturer will correct the defect, and provide you with information on where to go to fix the defect.

You will be required to take your vehicle to the automaker’s dealership for recall repairs. If you receive a recall notice, you can call our service department at Lindsay Volvo Cars of Alexandria for an appointment. We will make the recall repairs at no cost.
